Get The Most Out Of Your Spray Tan
Follow these essential guidelines to achieve the perfect spray tan. Our Before Tan, Day of Tan, and Aftercare tips will help you maintain a beautiful, long-lasting glow!
Before Tan
- The night before, shave and exfoliate
- Do not use Dove soap (Cetaphyl or CeraVe work great)
- Moisturize very lightly before going to bed
- The next day, do not shower or use soap or lotion on face or body
- Avoid wearing deodorant on the day of the tan
- Wear or bring loose clothing and flip-flops
Day of Tan
- No Showering the Day of Your Tan – Avoid showering right before your appointment to help your skin absorb the tan evenly
- Skip Deodorant & Lotion – These products can create a barrier and cause uneven tanning. Please arrive with clean, dry skin
- Wear Loose Clothing – Tight clothes can rub against your fresh tan and create streaks. Bring or wear something comfortable and loose-fitting
- Follow Your Spray Tan Artist's Instructions – They will provide personalized guidance for the best results
Aftercare
- Let your tan set for at least 8-12 hours (overnight if possible) before showering
- Moisturize Twice a Day – Keeping your skin hydrated helps your tan stay even and last longer. Use a gentle, non-scented lotion
- Avoid Shaving for 24 Hours – Shaving too soon can fade your tan faster
- Skip Hot Water & Exfoliation – Use lukewarm water when showering, and avoid scrubs, loofahs, and exfoliating products while your tan is on
- Avoid Dove Products & Oils – Dove body washes, lotions, and any oils can break down your tan and cause it to fade unevenly. Stick to spray-tan-safe products
